Capturing the moment

As of recent I haven’t picked up my camera. I spent so much time trapped in my room editing video. Through freelance and my own projects It was devouring all my time. I had no desire to go out and shoot, Until I was casually scrolling through YouTube looking for something to have on in the background. I usually like to have a video playing just to break the silence and for short breaks during a long editing session.

And That’s when I saw a new video from Peter McKinnon.

Everything came rushing back.

After that I went down the rabbit hole. I started scrolling through all of my favorite photographs. Willem, Joe Greer, and Artripoli just to name a few. Now I had known of and followed all of them for a while now but I hadn’t been keeping up, but seeing all of them out making beautiful photos and enjoying their time… I knew I needed that back.

Now I’m back to carrying my camera almost everywhere, back to trying to make beautiful photos and pushing myself to learn more and more… back to being me.

Here’s one I captured recently on our trip to California Adventure. I was proud of this one knowing on my last trip there I wouldn’t have had the eye for this photo, the knowledge to grade it as I did, and perhaps not even the patience to capture the coaster in this way.

Please enjoy, and if you’d like it’s available for purchase in my store! (Clicking the photo will take you there!)

Thank you for reading,
